It is a polymer for para-xylene. Parylene is prepared with unique vacuum vapor deposition technology. It is a completely conformal polymer membrane coating “generated” from active micro-molecules on the surface of based material, which can be coated to many kinds of surfaces, including sharp edge, crack and inner surface. This membrane coating of 0.1-100 micron prepared under the room-temperature deposition is of uniform thickness, density pinholes-free and transparency without stress; excluding accessory ingredient and damage for workpieces, it has not only excellent electricity insurability and barrier property but also good physical and mechanical properties. In one word, this is a tough macro-molecular coating material with self-lubricating property and good uniformity, which can be applied far and wide in fields such as astronavigation, aviation, military industry, electron, bio-medical instruments, control system, preservation of cultural relics, nanophase materials and magnetic materials. It is regarded as the most effective non-hygroscopic, anti-fungicide, anti-putrefactive and anti-salt-mist coating material at the present day.
